Ine Segers (1969), Unit Director Cyber Trust at Devoteam, has redefined the role of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) from a back-office necessity to a boardroom enabler. With a 33-year career, she combines a global strategic remit with direct operational leadership in the Belgian market.
Segers holds a dual role as the Director of Cyber Trust Belgium and the Global Head of GRC Practice for the Devoteam group. In a market plagued by talent shortages, she successfully doubled her local team from under 20 to 40 consultants, building a ‘culture of competence and trust’. Her current technical focus is on future-proofing security through AI Governance, developing frameworks to assess and manage the risks associated with the deployment of artificial intelligence systems.
Her candidacy is bolstered by her influence on the broader security community. Segers is a Top 3 finalist from the previous year, a recognition of her persistent advocacy. She leads the ‘Wo-men-x in Technology’ initiative and is active in the Belgian Network for Women in Security and ISACA SheLeadsTech.
Next to her professional ambitions at devoteam, Ine’s goal is to help students and young professionals who are entering the STEM field, to find a career that they love and can develop over time, preferably in cybersecurity, which is her personal passion. She aims to
promote the importance and the satisfaction that a career in cybersecurity can bring to many organisations as well to our society. Her goal is to be an example for women in technology and to support the next generation in their ambition to become leading ladies in the world of cybersecurity, which is still too much a men’s world.
She is committed to provide them the knowledge and action they need to grow their careers and grow with confidence the cybersecurity and technology industry. She lives the mission to ‘change the face of the digital world’ with focus on diversity and equity.
