Myriam Broeders

Myriam Broeders is nominated for the Leading ICT Lady of the Year award. She is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Microsoft Belux.

Myriam has over 25 years of experience in the tech industry. She started her career at a fintech start-up and then worked at IBM for 11 years. She also spent 5 years at SD Worx and has been at Microsoft for 7 years now.

Throughout her career, Myriam has demonstrated exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and innovation. She is recognized for her impact, winning the InspiringFifty 2022 award as a role model for young ambitious women in STEM. Recently, she also joined the Belgian army as a reserve officer in the CyberCommand.

Myriam is passionate about sustainability, diversity, and inclusion. At Microsoft, she leads sustainability efforts and is part of their Diversity & Inclusion work group. She often speaks at events to inspire women and students interested in STEM.

When asked about her ambitions, Myriam says ‘Life starts at 50!’. She sees joining the army and her role at Microsoft as opening new doors at this stage in her life. She wants to take action and collaborate with others to make a positive impact through technology.
