Karen De Sousa Pesse works as a Senior Executive at Salesforce managing Public Sector territories in Belgium. She has over 10 years of experience in the ICT field, starting her career as a hardware scientist.
Karen has received several awards for her work advocating for women’s rights in STEM and technology. In 2023, she received the Dianne Bevelander Award from the Rotterdam School of Management for her advocacy on Women’s Rights in STEM. Her TEDx talk on the importance of gender perspectives in technology also received recognition.
Before joining Salesforce, Karen worked at both Microsoft and IBM. At IBM, she led a team of 50 people delivering a diabetes mobile app that received several awards.
Currently, Karen manages several large digital transformation projects for public sector clients at Salesforce. Her ambition is to help deliver these projects to benefit society and improve the citizen experience with government. She is passionate about the public sector and hopes to continue contributing her knowledge and skills to benefit humanitarian causes.
