Gitte Bluekens

Gitte Bluekens currently works as a Scrum Master at KBC Bank. She has 6 years of work experience. Some of her key accomplishments includes acting as the technical point of contact for her team and automating processes to make them faster and less error prone, and successfully adopting a DevOps mentality to improve processes.

She manages a diverse team of 15 colleagues and aims to build an open and trusting relationship with them. Mentoring women in IT to build their confidence and skills is one of her clear focal areas., just like helping to create an onboarding program in IT focused on attracting and supporting new graduates.

Her ambitions include creating a pleasant working environment for all, especially women and young graduates in IT. She wants to combat the stereotype that only older men work in IT. She has already started sharing her insights and experiences within KBC to motivate and inspire others. Gitte holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science with distinction. She also has an Agilist certificate for SAFe.
