Insurance Market Lead – Capgemini Belgium NV
Patricia Boydens (1971), Insurance Market Lead at Capgemini Belgium, is a seasoned innovation leader who has spent over 25 years operating at the intersection of finance and technology. Her candidacy is grounded in a history of digital banking pioneering combined with a current focus on sustainable financial services.
Boydens’ track record is defined by her role in the foundational phase of Belgian digital banking. She was actively involved in the launch of two online banks, Rabobank.be and MeDirect, serving as a Management Team member. Today, she leverages that experience at Capgemini to drive revenue growth and digital transformation within the insurance sector. Her expertise lies in navigating complex regulatory frameworks like KYC and MiFID through technological solutions such as AI and Distributed Ledger Technology.
Beyond her corporate mandate, Boydens is a structural pillar of the Belgian financial ecosystem. She serves as Vice President of FinTech Belgium and is an ambassador for the InsurTech vertical. Her philosophy centers on utilizing technology not as an end in itself, but as a tool for a “more inclusive and sustainable financial services industry”. She actively contributes to the Capgemini World Insurance Reports, providing the market with forward-looking insights on industry trends.
Deeply involved in promoting sustainability and inclusion, Patricia is actively supporting Capgemini’s agenda around CSR and partaking every year in their Impact Together week. She is also very happy to act as role model and motivates young professionals to grow their aspirations and career, including tips and tricks to combine this with an active family life. She hopes ‘to inspire more women to join this intersection of tech and finance’ as she has often ‘felt a bit solitary as the only woman around the table’.
