Maria Yolanda Bile Nlang (1992), Founder of Brise, has positioned herself at the forefront of one of the tech industry’s most critical emerging sectors: AI safety. Leaving behind a stable career in major consulting firms, she established her own venture, Brise, in 2023 to address the ethical risks of artificial intelligence. Brise is an AI consultancy supporting organizations such as ING, ENGIE, and N-Allo in building safer, human-centered conversational AI systems.
Bile Nlang’s entrepreneurial journey is defined by her transition from implementing AI for giants like EY and Cognizant to defining the safety standards that govern them. With Brise, she isn’t merely offering consultancy; she is developing intellectual property in the form of ‘Khai’, an AI safety infrastructure platform designed to automate testing and do monitoring for bias, hallucinations, and security risks.
