Famke Desoete (28) is a Consultant at Deloitte, providing support to digital transformation projects for businesses. She currently provides support to a digital transformation project for a Belgian food company as their sales and service departments are transitioning into harnessing the power of Salesforce. She started her career in a customer service position at ORAC, a family-owned business, and quickly rose to the challenge of helping establish the company’s office in Paris. In 2021, Famke returned to Belgium to join the Benelux customer engagement team.
In 2022, she took the lead of ORAC’s CRM transformation journey by translating the customer team needs into processes, ready for implementation. She managed the roll out and training across all international teams, iterating and improving the way of working of each team so that they could focus on their customers and the growth of ORAC. She had no expertise in this area but was supported by the CIO. Inspired by how technology can transform businesses and help them to achieve their future goals, Famke wanted to learn more and joined Deloitte in October 2023.
Famke has a strong passion for technology and its transformative power in businesses. She is also an active member of the Young Zonta Brugge: as the President of this service club that organizes fundraising events to support good causes and presents awards to young ladies in different domains to help and support them in their career.
Famke’s ambition is to become a stronger functional consultant by gaining more technical knowledge and enhancing her ability to help organizations overcome their business challenges. She also strives to be a supportive team member who empowers her colleagues to grow by giving training, providing guidance, and being an inspiring coach.
Famke’s commitment to continuous learning, her dedication to empowering her colleagues, and her passion for technology make her a deserving candidate for the Rising Tech Star of the Year award. Her journey from a customer service role to a functional consultant at Deloitte showcases her adaptability and determination to succeed in the tech industry.
